Air Travel Information
Fayetteville is located in Northwest Arkansas. The Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (Airport Code: XNA) is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Fayetteville.
If you registered for the Workshop Plus* package and selected to have your airfare covered, a travel reservation specialist will be in touch with you to coordinate your air arrangements. The Workshop Plus package will cover either 1 economy class roundtrip air fare ticket or up to 3 nights hotel accommodations.

If you registered for the Workshop Only package, you are responsible for arranging your own travel arrangements.

Hotel Accommodations
ICLEI and the City of Fayetteville have negotiated special room rates at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and the Inn at Carnal Hall.
If you have registered for the Workshop Plus* package and selected to have your hotel accommodations covered by ICLEI, you will receive an e-mail confirming your hotel arrangements. If you need to make adjustments to your hotel reservations please call (801) 649-2371.

If you registered for the Workshop Only package and require hotel accommodations, please make your arrangements directly with the hotel.

Located in downtown Fayetteville, the Cosmopolitan Hotel is walking distance from the Town Center and Dickson Street. This locally owned business hotel offers full range of services and amenities.

Room Block Name: ICLEI Climate Workshop
This historic building, built in 1906, was once a young women's dormitory on the University of Arkansas campus. Carnal Hall is located on Maple Street at Arkansas Avenue and is about 1 mile to the Town Center. Ground transportation from the Inn at Carnal Hall to the Fayetteville Town Center will be provided in the morning and return service to the Inn will be provided at the conclusion of each day's program. Dickson Street is just a short walk from the Inn.

Ground Transportation
Ground transportation will be provided on Tuesday, July 10 and Wednesday, July 11 from the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) to the Inn at Carnal Hall, Cosmopolitan Hotel, and the Fayetteville Town Center. Return service to the airport will be provided from the Fayetteville Town Center on Friday, July 13. A schedule for pick up service from the airport to downtown Fayetteville venues will be posted prior to the workshop.
Ground transportation from the Inn at Carnal Hall to the Fayetteville Town Center and return service will be provided at peak times during the workshop on Tuesday, July 10 through Friday, July 13. The Cosmopolitan Hotel is within walking distance to the Fayetteville Town Center; however, transportation services to and from these venues can be provided upon request. A schedule for pick up service and return service will be provided prior to the workshop.

Weather and Attire
Fayetteville is located at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. The weather in Fayetteville during the day will be warm with average temperatures in the mid to upper 80s ºF. The evenings are pleasant with the lows around 70 ºF.

The dress code for the event is business casual with an emphasis on "casual". We recommend you wear comfortable shoes as the town is perfect for walking.

Offset Your Carbon Footprint
ICLEI has made every effort to minimize environmental impacts. We will be purchasing Green Tags to offset our carbon emissions 100 percent. We invite you to visit the Native Energy web site to purchase Green Tags to offset your air travel carbon emissions. Please let us know if you have purchased your own Green Tags as we would like to acknowledge your efforts at the event.
In addition, we will employ a zero-waste policy, reduce resource consumption, and utilize low-impact materials.
